Comedian Doug Benson is a regular contributor to VH1’s “Best Week Ever” and star of the film “Super High Me,” in which he smoked marijuana every day for a month.

For readers who haven’t seen your stand-up or heard your album “Doug Benson: Professional Humoredian,” how would you describe your act?

 Some have called me a stoner comedian, but I'm much more than that. I also talk about booze. And sex. I am a boozy stoner sex comic!

 

After “Super High Me” and the off-Broadway comedy show “The Marijuana-Logues,” are you tired of being asked questions about pot?

Not as long as people keep giving me weed. But in all seriousness … people should bring me weed.

 

How has “Best Week Ever” improved since going to its new format last year?

Paul F. Tompkins was one of the funniest panelists on the old version, so they promoted him to host. He's one of my favorite comics, and I still get to do bits on the show every week, so the new format works for me.

 

Any thoughts on Atlanta you’d like to share? Looking forward to playing the 74-seat Laughing Skull Lounge?

I love Atlanta. I've been to Atlanta several times, but this is my first time playing downtown, and I rarely get to perform in such an intimate venue, so ... I forgot the question.—Kevin Forest Moreau
