This year, Atlanta Pride was moved from its traditional month of June to Halloween weekend--something about saving grass at Piedmont Park. Sure, we’ll buy that for a dollar. And though Atlanta is considered the gay mecca of the South, some of its restaurants are more supportive than others. Let’s call them out and celebrate them, shall we?

THE ORIGINAL EL TACO
WHAT: A Fifth Group-owned establishment, El Taco is holding a dine-out night for AIDS Research Consortium of Atlanta (ARCA) and donating 20 percent of all food sales to the organization.

LAS MARGARITAS
WHAT: Pride specials include all-you-can-eat brunch with personalized omelets for $10.95, plus $3 Bloody Marias and mimositas.

JOIA RESTAURANT & LOUNGE

WHAT: Brunch of contemporary American fare accompanied by Mr. Charlie Brown’s new cabaret show featuring lauded vixens like Nicole Paige Brooks and GiGi Monroe.
WHEN: Every Sunday. Brunch begins at noon. Show times are 2 and 4 p.m. On Nov. 1, however, shows begin post-parade.

NAKATO
WHAT: Donating proceeds from its Rainbow Roll (crab, avocado, cucumber, yellowtail and salmon) and corresponding Rainbow Roll T-shirts to benefit the Atlanta AIDS Walk. The fun-loving Japanese restaurant also has a float in the parade. Go fish!

LIVINGSTON RESTAURANT + BAR
WHAT: Watch the parade from the terrace overlooking Peachtree Street for $20, which includes a seat to rest your heels, DJ-spun entertainment and $5 Bloody Mary and mimosa specials. Hungry? Try the $20 brunch buffet that includes special menu items from the outdoor grill and smoker.

BELEZA & LUPE
WHAT: Riccardo Ullio’s corner in Midtown is celebrating Pride with a Buddy Cole cocktail, in reference to the flamboyant character created by actor Scott Thompson of “Kids in the Hall” fame. The $9 drink features Plymouth Gin, Aperol, lemon juice and simple syrup.
